Yunmeng Mountain Great wall Park (\u4e91\u8499\u5c71\u957f\u57ce\u9057\u5740\u516c\u56ed) offers tourists magnificent view of the Miyun reservoir, remains of the Great wall that was build in Qi dynasty, variety of vegetations and moderate difficult but well paved hiking trail.<\/p>\n<p>The hike starts at the park entrance (250 meters above sea level). The paved trail winds through wooded hill and ancient rocks. From time to time, you get a clear view of the mountain and the villages below. There are several junctions which are all well marked.<br \/>\nAfter about 1 hour hike, you will reach the remain of a Ming Dynasty beacon. From this point, you will see the rolling hills, the Miyun reservoir and several lower beacon remains. The magnificent view from this point will make all the effort worth wile.<br \/>\nAfter resting and enjoying the view, you will follow the sign down the mountain. At one point, you will be able to actually get into one of the beacon and see what the ancient soldiers see. About 1 hour later, you will reach back to the parking lot. <\/p>\n<p>How to get there:<br \/>\nBy bus: From Dongzhimen (\u4e1c\u76f4\u95e8)Bus station, take # 980 bus. Get off at Miyun bell tower (\u5bc6\u4e91\u9f13\u697c) stop. From this point, you will take a taxi to the park entrance (cost about 40RMB) \u4e91\u8499\u5c71\u957f\u57ce\u9057\u5740\u516c\u56ed. Please be sure to get the taxi driver\u2019s cell phone number and call him when you get down. It is rather difficult to wait for the taxi at the park gate.<br \/>\nBy car: Take Beijing Chende express way and exit $16. Go north to the Miyun County and follow the blown sign.<\/p>\n<p>Entrance ticket: 25RMB<\/p>\n<p>Other tips:<br \/>\nThe peak season is from April 15- Nov. 30.
