However, the Tanzhe Temple locates at the west and more than 40 kilometers from the west end of the Changan Avenue. I wanted to visit Tanzhe Temple earlier. Beijingers believe that people built the Tanzhe Temple before they built Beijing City. I knew the name from a book named Peking Picnic written by Ann Bridge.
