Located in Huairou County about 45 miles from Beijing, Mutianyu Great Wall was first built in Northern Qi Dynasty (550 – 557)?and rebuild in Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644). It is one of the easiest accessible sections of the Great Wall around Beijing. This section of the wall was renovated during the recent years. There are two chair lefts which take the tourists up to the wall. The former US president Bill Clinton visited this section of the wall when he visited Beijing in the late 1990s.
